The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly interested in drafting Bronny James in the 2024 NBA draft as they look to entice LeBron James into staying with the team.

“They do have interest in bringing Bronny James in as a draft pick,” Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium said Friday on The Pat McAfee Show.

Bronny James is exploring whether to remain in the draft or transfer from USC. He’s entered his name into the transfer portal after one disappointing season with the Trojans.

The Lakers star could become a free agent this summer if he opts out of the final year his contract. Charania reported James is expected to play at least two more seasons, which would give him a record 23 NBA seasons. James will tie Vince Carter next season for the most in NBA history with 22.
