The Indiana Pacers and playoff breakout star Andrew Nembhard have agreed to a three-year extension worth $59 million, league sources confirmed Wednesday.
Nembhard, 24, was the No. 31 pick of the 2022 draft and is coming off a sophomore season in which he averaged 9.2 points and 4.1 assists per game in 68 contests, 47 of which were off the bench.
In the playoffs, Nembhard shined as a full-time starter, averaging 14.9 points and 5.5 assists in 17 games. He particularly stepped up as Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton went down injured against the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference finals, scoring 32 points in Game 3 and 24 points in Game 4.
Nembhard also had 20-point playoff performances in the victorious series against the Milwaukee Bucks and the New York Knicks.

Alongside Haliburton and Pascal Siakam, Nembhard is expected to play a key role in Indiana’s plans as the team looks to establish itself as an annual contender.
His new extension will run through 2028 and kick in after the 2024-25 season, when he’ll finish his rookie deal.
