The Florida Panthers are still one win away from winning the Stanley Cup after the Edmonton Oilers stormed to an 8-1 win in Game 4 on Saturday. The series now sits at 3-1 with Game 5 set for Tuesday night at 8 p.m. ET on ABC/ESPN+.
The Panthers, last season’s Eastern Conference champions, aim to finish the job after losing to the Vegas Golden Knights in last year’s Final. Matthew Tkachuk, Aleksander Barkov, Sergei Bobrovsky & Co. knocked off the Tampa Bay Lightning, Boston Bruins and New York Rangers on their road through the Eastern Conference.
Connor McDavid of the Oilers leads a powerful offense featuring Leon Draisaitl, Evan Bouchard and Zach Hyman, among others, but have found it difficult to solve Bobrovsky, at least until Saturday’s outburst. The Oilers dispatched the Los Angeles Kings, Vancouver Canucks and Dallas Stars on the road to their first Final appearance since 2006.
