TCU is targeting former Houston and West Virginia head coach Dana Holgorsen for a consultant role, sources tell 247Sports and CBS Sports. It would be Holgorsen’s first job since the Cougars parted ways with him in November, after five seasons at the helm.
That run at Houston came after eight years as the head coach at West Virginia, where he finished with a 61-41 overall record. He was 31-28 as the head coach at Houston with his best season being a 12-2 finish in 2022.
Before his time as a head coach, Holgorsen was an offensive coordinator at Oklahoma State, Houston and Texas Tech.

Holgorsen would be the third former FBS head coach that Sonny Dykes has hired at TCU this offseason after previously adding ex-Boise State head coach Andy Avalos as defensive coordinator and former Nevada head coach Ken Wilson as linebackers coach.
