The Olympics are here! The opening ceremony for the 2024 Paris games is Friday and the Big Ten is well represented.
Now that the teams are set, the NCAA released its list of all of the colleges who will feature an olympic athlete this year. Stanford tops the list with 51 athletes, but the Big Ten’s USC and Michigan are right behind with 44 and 42 athletes, respectively. The Trojans and Wolverines each have almost double the No. 3 team on the list, UCLA. In all, 254 athletes from the Big Ten will participate.
According to the Big Ten, Team USA will include 129 conference athletes. The Big Ten Conference accounts for more than a quarter of the collegiate makeup of the American delegation. Check out the full list of Big Ten athletes in Team USA: HERE
