Flip once, flip twice? ‘Dawgs hoping to take back five-star Justus Terry from Trojans

247Sports’ Status Check series aims to update fans on the latest with the Class of 2025’s top committed prospects.

We are still a long way from Signing Day (Dec. 4), and in the current era of college football recruiting, things can change on a dime. 247Sports’ Status Check series aims to update fans on the latest with the Class of 2025’s top committed prospects. Today that means a look at five-star defensive lineman Justus ‘Jay” Terry of Manchester (Ga.).

Could there be another flip in store before the No. 13 overall prospect ultimately signs? That’s where the industry’s eyes are when it comes to tracking Terry, who originally committed to Georgia, located two-and-a-half hours from Manchester, in January 2023 before flipping to USC while on a visit in mid-March. The No. 2 defensive lineman is viewed as a “potential bully in the middle” by 247Sports Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins, who deems Terry’s 6-foot-5, 275-pound frame college-ready already.
