Another day, another record-setting extension for an NFL wide receiver.
On Monday, Minnesota Vikings All-Pro Justin Jefferson became the latest beneficiary of the league’s most recent spending spree, signing a four-year, $140 million extension that makes him the highest-paid non-QB in the league on an AAV basis. The deal was nothing more than a mere formality for the 2022 AP Offensive Player of the Year winner, as he has been simply transcendent since stepping onto an NFL field and will now hopefully help rookie signal-caller J.J. McCarthy quickly get up to speed in what is suddenly a highly competitive NFC North division.
Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. In 2022, Jefferson set the Vikings’ franchise-record for receiving yards in a season with 1,809. So with th at in mind, how many of the players responsible for the best receiving season in the history of each NFL franchise can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
